The Title Deed is the official ownership certificate, issued by the Dubai Land Department, that identifies you as the lawful owner of a property.
It is the most important proof of your ownership and contains details of the property, its area and the owner. For existing properties the Title Deed is issued in your name at transfer; for off-plan the Oqood registration takes its place at first, until the project is handed over.
Without a valid Title Deed, or Oqood, no clean sale and no mortgage is possible.
