Costs & Payment

Down Payment

The down payment is the first payment when buying a property, often 10 to 20 percent of the price for off-plan, and frequently around 10 percent to reserve a ready home.

For off-plan, the down payment secures the unit and triggers the Oqood registration. For ready purchases with financing, non-residents often have to contribute a significantly higher share of equity, see Non-Resident Financing.

The down payment has to be calculated on top of the additional costs such as the DLD Fee.

TAH perspective

We make sure the down payment and the additional costs are thought through together from the start, so the total does not become an unpleasant surprise.
